Fajer M. Bin Rashed, Dr

Dr Fajer Bin Rashed is an assistant professor at the Australian University in Kuwait. She holds a PhD in Language and Literacy Studies and has extensive teaching experience at the tertiary level in the Gulf Cooperation Council region since 2007. Her previous teaching posts include Gulf University for Science and Technology, Arab Open University and United Arab Emirates University. She is a published researcher, an associate editor, and an active reviewer for multi- and interdisciplinary peer-reviewed journals. Her research interests include (early) literacy education, bilingualism, multiculturalism and social-emotional learning in education. Her work has been published by Taylor & Francis, Routledge, Wiley and Springer Nature to name a few. Relevant to her research, Fajer trains educators and caregivers on how to read picture books for social and emotional learning (SEL) purposes.
