Sandra Nanyunja

Researcher and PhD Student at University of Edinbrugh

Sandra Nanyunja is a researcher and PhD fellow under the Wits-Edinburgh Sustainable African Futures (WESAF) programme based in Uganda. She also works as a practitioner with the Refugee Law Project, Makerere University, where she is involved in refugee education and digital inclusion initiatives. Her work explores the intersection of digital literacy, technology and sustainable livelihoods for displaced and marginalised populations. Drawing on the lived experiences of refugees, she seeks to develop a more nuanced understanding of digital literacy as it is shaped by conditions of marginalisation, and to inform more inclusive policy and practice within the digital literacy landscape.
