Martha Akello is a communication specialist currently working with the Refugee Law Project, Makerere University. She works on initiatives that amplify the voices of refugees and host communities. Her work has focused on promoting access to higher education for refugees, shaping discourse and influencing policy through advocacy campaigns, participatory storytelling, and partnerships with universities, civil society and global networks. Martha has co-authored several peer-reviewed and international publications on refugee higher education, blended and connected learning, and university admissions for refugees, contributing Uganda-based perspectives to global academic and policy debates.
