Louisa Dawes is a Senior Lecturer at Manchester Institute of Education (MIE) at the University of Manchester. As a teacher and teacher educator for 30 years, she has led and taught on initial teacher education provision as well as undergraduate and postgraduate education programmes at the university. Louisa is currently director of scholarship at MIE and convenes the research and scholarship group Teacher Education and Professional Learning (TEPL) in the department. Her research and scholarly outputs focus on teacher education, poverty and education policy reform.
