Alex McTaggart is Associate Professor of Educational Leadership and Human Futures at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China. His scholarship explores how education and educational leadership are being reshaped by globalisation, artificial intelligence and the planetary crisis, with a particular focus on power, equity, ethics and stewardship. His work examines how leaders might respond to ecological, technological and moral uncertainty in more humane and regenerative ways. He has published widely in leading international journals and is the author of Sustainable Educational Leadership and the Climate Crisis (Routledge). He is currently completing a forthcoming book with Cambridge University Press, Leadership at the End of the Human: AI, Education, and the Four Crises of Our Time.
