Sanjeev Chaddha is a researcher at Bath Spa University whose work focuses on educational inequality, school attendance and the intersection of socioeconomic disadvantage and ethnicity. His research uses quantitative analysis of national datasets to understand how structural and community-level factors shape young people’s engagement with education. Sanjeev’s broader academic interests include social justice, data-informed policy, and the ways social class and culture shape experiences of schooling. He is currently developing research that explores attendance patterns across regions in England, with a particular focus on communities experiencing long-term social and economic marginalisation.
