Katherine Davis-Wright, Dr

EdD student at University of Sheffield

Katherine Davis-Wright is a final-year EdD student at the University of Sheffield, novelist and teacher of English at a state secondary school in the UK. Her doctoral research looks at the tensions between how secondary students experience creative writing inside and outside of the curriculum, and how these experiences inform and construct their authorial identities.
She is particularly passionate about creativity in education, the development of authorial identity, multimodal literacies outside of the curriculum, and how online writing spaces, such as fanfiction communities, act as affinity spaces for writers.
