Justin Voorhees

Scientific Collaborator at University of Geneva

Justin Voorhees is a scientific collaborator at the University of Geneva’s Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences (FPSE) and InZone, where he has coordinated the Certificate of Open Studies (COS) in Education in Emergencies (EiE) and MAS/DAS programmes in International Education and Research. He is currently codeveloping the updated global version of the COS in Education in Fragile Contexts (EFC), supporting its expansion to new locations and collaboration with new institutional and local partners. He also serves as lead evaluator for the COS in Community Health, implemented in Kenya, Niger, Jordan and Bangladesh. Previously, as a consultant for the Global University Academy (GUA), he co-led the development of its Theory of Change and Model of Action for a globally scalable, locally anchored higher education model for forcibly displaced learners. Justin has over a decade of experience in international education and is a PhD candidate at the United Nations University for Peace, focusing on the quality of higher education (HE) and non-formal education (NFE) programmes in displacement contexts.
