Jim Reid, Dr

Reader in Education at University of Huddersfield

Jim Reid is a Reader in Education in the School of Business, Education and Law at the University of |Huddersfield. His research interests primarily focus on marginalised people and communities with a particular interest in giving voice to those who are silent or silenced. This included research with teachers during a period of ‘notice to improve’. He is a visiting research fellow at the University of the Western Cape, Cape Town, South Africa and a Research Associate with The Lullaby Project at Carnegie Hall, New York. He is a member of the Huddersfield Centre for Research in Education and Society (HUDCRES), founding convenor of the Children and Childhoods SIG at the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, and a member of the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ conference and events committee. He is on the advisory board of the UNICEF Global Health and Education chair, and a peer reviewer for EU Horizon.
