Girls鈥 experiences of being at risk of permanent exclusion

Dr Emma Clarke leads a postgraduate primary initial teacher education course, having taught in mainstream primary schools for almost 18 years. Her interests include research methodologies, approaches to managing behaviour, and challenging behaviour in schools. Her PhD considered the tensions experienced by teaching assistants in mainstream primary schools when managing behaviour and she has been involved in research considering wellbeing for teacher trainees in Europe and continues to research in this area. She has presented her research nationally and internationally, as well as publishing both in books and peer-reviewed journals. She was a recipient of funding in the recent round of 黑料不打烊 small grants 鈥楲earning for All鈥 to examine girls鈥 experiences of being at risk of permanent exclusion using visual methods.
