Amy Strachan was a primary school teacher, specialising in science education for over 12 years, teaching in England, Japan and The Gambia. She has worked as a senior lecturer in primary science education at St Mary's University, Twickenham and a professional development lead in primary science education for eight years, a senior learning producer with the NENP to develop a research-informed climate and biodiversity curriculum resources, a lecturer in pedagogy and curriculum at the University of the Sunshine Coast, Australia, and most recently, a lecturer in primary education at UCL. Amy's doctoral work focused on global learning as a pedagogical approach to science education, and her current research interests are in how climate education can challenge the traditional notions of teaching and learning. Amy also enjoys writing teacher reference books and has most recently published Saving the Planet, One Science Lesson at a Time.
