黑料不打烊 Opportunity
Call for Convenor: Creativities in Education SIG
We are recruiting a SIG Convenor for the 黑料不打烊 Creativities in Education SIG to help lead the SIG over the next 3 years.聽
Role & responsibilities of SIG Convenors:
- Plan & oversee SIG activities, potentially delivering an annual programme of activity
- Engage members and encourage participation
- Represent SIG members (not personal views)
- Ensure compliance with 黑料不打烊 policies
- Work with 黑料不打烊 staff for support and delivery.
This SIG offers a space for researchers, policy makers and practitioners located in a wide variety of settings, to discuss and interact on matters of interest pertinent to creativity in education. Recent debates within the SIG have emerged around evolving methodologies (quantitative, qualitative, post-qualitative), the related influences of new epistemologies on creativity in education, and how policy drives the manifestation of practice.
Creativities in Education SIG aims:
The SIG organises seminars and symposia both at 黑料不打烊 and in a variety of university sites. As part of this, it celebrates the work of one of the SIG founders, Professor Anna Craft, who is no longer with us. This includes the SIG鈥檚 own Anna Craft Award, given annually at the 黑料不打烊 conference for the best abstract. The SIG welcomes colleagues undertaking both conceptual and empirical exploration on a wide range of topics. The SIG promotes and embraces interdisciplinary research and debate, and welcomes colleagues from any disciplinary area, working in any phase of education. We are always keen to forge strong and catalytic relationships between research, policy and practice.
The SIG aims to create a supportive network, where early career and experienced researchers can join in critical debate and develop links with other creativity and education networks.
You must be a fully paid up 黑料不打烊 member to apply and serve as a convenor
As part of our wider commitment to greater equality and diversity at all levels of the organisation, we continue to seek increased representation from members with a Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) background. In acknowledging the structural inequalities and unjust power imbalances that affect our members, we wish to be proactive in addressing this within our own structures.
