International Women’s Day
On #InternationalWomensDay, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ is once again celebrating the incredible achievements and contributions of women in educational research.

- ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ awarded the 2025 John Nisbet Fellowship to Professor Heidi Safia Mirza, Emeritus Professor of Equality Studies in Education at UCL Institute of Education, for her pioneering intersectional research on race, gender and identity in education.
- Dr Karen Guldberg was named the 2025 ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Academic Citizen of the Year for her contributions to research and teaching on autism studies and inclusive practice in education.Â
- We were joined by Professor Heike Wendt who delivered an engaging talk on Teaching for Tomorrow: Education for Sustainability Across Europe at the 2025 ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ AGM and Awards ceremony.Â
- The 2025 ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Undergraduate Award was awarded to Brooke Armstrong for her outstanding thesis.
- The recipients of the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Small Grants Fund 2025 include projects from women on the topic of Additional Support Needs (ASN)/Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in educational settings.
