Welcome to the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Annual Conference 2019 which will be held at the University of Manchester, Tuesday 10th September 2019 – Thursday 12th September 2019.
It is a great pleasure to write my first welcome to a ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Annual Conference. Manchester is known throughout the world as the birthplace of the industrial revolution with a proud of history in science, politics, music, arts and sport. The people of Manchester pride themselves on their warm welcome to visitors and so we look forward to returning to this vibrant, modern city.
ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ goes from strength to strength. Membership of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ continues to grow. The range of activities of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ has never been so rich and wide ranging. The Annual Conference also continues to grow and develop and is a great opportunity to disseminate research and network with like-minded colleagues. The success of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ conference is a tribute to all involved, particularly the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ office staff.

ECR Presentation Award
ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ aims to celebrate and promote the work of our Early Career Researcher Network. We are presenting a prize to the best Early Career researcher presentation at this year’s conference.
The top scoring ECR abstracts are automatically shortlisted for the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ ECR Presentation Award.
Poster Prize Award
All posters presented at the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Annual Conference will automatically be entered in the Poster Prize Presentation award. All posters will be judged by a member of the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Committees or other delegates.
The best poster receives complimentary attendance at the following years ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Annual Conference.
SIG Best Presentation Award
The SIG convenors are encouraged to attend all sessions for their SIG and judge each presentation. The ‘ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Annual Conference – SIG Best Presentation’ is then awarded.
