Lindsay Hetherington, Dr

Associate Professor in Science Education at University of Exeter

Lindsay Hetherington is Professor of Science Education at the University of Exeter, where she is Head of the School of Education and co-Director of the Centre for Research in Transdisciplinary Education. Lindsay's research is focused on using sociomaterial and dialogic theories to understand learning in contexts including STEAM and transdisciplinary education, science education and teacher education. Lindsay moved to Exeter as a teacher educator after beginning her career as a secondary science teacher in a UK state school following a degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, where she specialised in Earth Science (and still holds a love of rocks).
