Person
Kirsty holds a number of roles in education and is lucky to combine these as part of her own research. A teacher for over 20 years, she has had a range of roles in schools and within a local authority. Kirsty teaches for one (or sometimes two!) days a week at a school in London. As a Service Lead for The Children's Society, she leads a range of national programmes to support children and young people particularly around gender equitable practices in schools and professional practice. She is a PhD (Prof) researcher at Roehampton University, her research title being- 'Leading Gender Equitable Practices in Primary Schools: An Exploration of School Leaders’ Perceptions, Reflections and Actions'. She is researching the life histories of school leaders and how they enact leadership around gender equity in their schools. Her research is also concerned with using interviewing as a reflective tool for positive changes in school leadership.
