Joe Arday

Joe Arday is an award-winning neurodivergent educator of Computer Science, AI, EdTech and STEM with nearly 20 years’ experience in teaching, teacher training, national advisory and governance boards relating to the Computer Science education and Artificial Intelligence in UK education. Joe is a Computer Science teacher at Brentwood County High School and Cisco Networking Academy lead instructor for the Osborne Co – Operative Academy Trust. Joe has received awards for his work in UK education including the Highly Commended award at the 2025 National AI Awards for contributions to AI in education, ranking him in the “top 2” AI citizens in the UK. In the same year, Joe was crowned the inaugural STEAM Champion award winner by the Future Ed group – recognising Black UK educators’ contributions to STEM and AI education. Joe is a former Bett advisory board from 2024 – 2026 and contributes nationally to AI and EdTech strategy as a Chartered College of Teaching and Department for Education EdTech Advisory Board Member. Joe sits on the Foundation for Education Development Practitioners Council and contributes to Pearson’s Digital Transformation Advisory Panel, AI Edify’s Learning and Teaching Innovation Panel, and Oxford University’s AI in Education Research Hub. Joe holds fellowships with the Chartered College of Teaching (FCCT), the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) and a member of the British Computer Society (MBCS), hhe is a recognised advocate for diversity and inclusion in both education and the technology sector. Joe brings a practitioner’s perspective on what genuine inclusion looks like from inside a classroom and a profession still working to widen its own doors.
