I hold a professional Doctorate in Education from York St John University. My thesis examined the lived experiences of final-year neurodivergent students navigating the transition from higher education to employment, and led to my development of the Multi-Directional Ecological Framework (MDEF).
A distinctive feature of this work is what I have termed my meta-transition: receiving multiple neurodivergent diagnoses during the research itself, becoming the neurodivergent identity I was researching. This moves beyond binary insider鈥搊utsider distinctions, offering analytical distance alongside lived understanding.
I am a member of the Research Group for Neurodiversity, Equality and Well-Being (ReNEW) at York St John University. I am a study skills tutor, mentor, and workplace strategy coach, and the founder of Difference in the Making. I am usually accompanied by my assistance dog, McGee.
