Frances Akinde

Frances Akinde is an education consultant, former headteacher, qualified SENCo, SEND inspector and adviser, and founder of InclusionHT. She supports schools, trusts and organisations to build cultures of inclusion, belonging and equity that are rooted in both evidence and lived experience.
Author of Be an Ally, Not a Bystander, Frances is known for her work on the intersectionality of race and SEND and for bringing a systems-thinking lens to conversations about inclusion. As a neurodivergent Black female educator, she combines professional expertise with personal insight to challenge inequity and advocate for lasting change.
Her work is driven by a simple conviction: inclusion is not achieved through provision alone, but through addressing the structural, cultural and relational barriers that prevent people from thriving.
