Dr Alison Griffiths is Deputy Head of School and Primary PGCE lead at Leeds Trinity University. Her professional background spans both primary education and higher education, including roles as a teacher, literacy coordinator, and teacher educator. Alison has a Doctorate in Education, exploring the professional identities and research engagement of university-based teacher educators in England. She has a particular interest in teacher educator identity, research engagement, creative qualitative methodologies, and the place of teacher education within the university. Alongside her research, Alison leads programmes in initial teacher education and works closely with schools and mentors across partnership networks.
